Create Spaces and pages in the wiki
GuideUpdated
On this page
The wiki keeps your team’s documents next to the boards. It has two levels:
- A Space groups the pages of one topic, team, or project, such as “Handbook”. Each Space has its own access, like a board.
- A page is one document. Pages can have subpages, up to five levels deep.
Create a Space
- Open Wiki in the sidebar, or press Shift+W.
- Choose Create space (box 1), enter a name, and confirm. The new Space opens at once.
- Each card (box 2) shows a Space with its page count. A globe marks Spaces with public pages.
- Public links (box 3) lists every shared page of the Spaces you manage.
Add pages
- In a Space, choose New page (box 1), or press Shift+N. Its arrow offers Import Markdown for managers.
- The tree (box 2) shows the pages. Drag a page to reorder it or to make it a subpage. The row menu has New subpage, Share page…, Copy link, and Archive page.
- In the sidebar, the + button next to a Space or page (box 3) adds a page right there.
Edit and save
Editors change a page right where they read it.
- Change the title (box 1) or the text below it.
- Use the toolbar (box 2) or type / for headings, lists, tables, and more. See What you can put in a wiki page.
- Choose Save (box 3), or press Ctrl/⌘+Enter. The arrow next to it offers Discard changes….
Tips
- Kanroo keeps an unsaved draft in your browser. If two people save the same page, Kanroo shows the conflict and lets you choose.
- The History row in the right rail lists the saved versions your plan keeps. View version opens an older version, and Restore this version brings it back.
- Teammates who have the page open show as avatars in the header. A badge marks those who are editing. Kanroo Cloud and the Enterprise Edition show this live.
- Give Spaces access the same way as boards: Space access in the Space actions. See Manage who can open a board.
- Export space in the Space actions downloads all pages as Markdown files.
