Boards
Kanban boards with four views of the same work.
Lists and tasks as a board, in swimlanes, on a calendar or in a table. Recurring tasks, soft WIP limits, forms and public boards are part of every Kanroo Cloud plan.
- views of the same tasks
- 4
- days, weeks, months or years between recurring tasks
- 1–99
- color presets for labels and lists
- 10
- on public boards, on every plan
- No limit
Views
Four views. The same tasks.
Switch the view, not the tool. Every view shows the same tasks with the same filters, and the view stays in the URL, so a link opens exactly what you see.
Board
Lists side by side. Drag tasks, or use the move menu from the keyboard.
Swimlanes
Rows by priority or by due date, across all lists.
Calendar
Month and week. Drag a task to another day to change its due date.
Table
Every task in sortable columns, grouped by list.
Calendar: tasks on their due dates. Drag tasks without one from the side panel onto a day.
Table: every task in sortable columns, grouped by list.
Tasks
Everything about a task, in one place.
A task opens in a drawer next to the board. Each task has a fixed key such as WR-7, so people can name it in chat and in links.
Markdown description
Headings, lists, code and links. Priority from low to urgent, plus a due date.
Checklists
Several per task, with items you can reorder. The progress shows on the board.
Comments and mentions
Markdown comments. An @mention notifies the person by email and, if turned on, by push.
Links to pages and tasks
Chips for wiki pages, tasks and files. A “No access” badge where you may not look.
Attachments
Drag files onto a task, up to 5 MiB each on Free, 25 MiB on Team and 50 MiB on Enterprise. No storage quota. Fair use applies.
Flow
Keep work moving without extra rules.
Small tools that keep a board honest. None of them blocks your team.
Recurring tasks
Every 1 to 99 days, weeks, months or years, in the time zone of your organization.
Soft WIP limits
The list header shows “total / limit” and warns above the limit. Nothing is blocked.
A done list
Mark one list as done. Tasks in it are never shown as overdue.
Templates
Start from Basic Kanban, Software development, Content workflow or Customer support, or save your own. See how to create a board.
Filters in the URL
Filter by keyword, member, due date, overdue or label. Share the link with the filter.
Archive and print
Archive one task, all tasks of a list or a whole board, and restore them. Print a board as a poster.
Let requests come in
People outside your organization can send work to a board. Their requests arrive as tasks in the list you choose.
What teams use it for
A simple ticket system
Support requests land in one list, ready to sort, assign and answer.
Customer requests
Clients send briefs, changes and feedback, with files attached.
Email to task
Forward an email to an Email Intake, and it becomes a task. On Kanroo Cloud and in the Enterprise Edition.
Set up a form in one drawer
Give the form a public name and instructions. Choose the list for new tasks, a default priority and the labels a sender may pick. Then switch it on and share its link. The form guide walks through every step.
Forms
Public forms for each board, each reachable by its own link. The sender confirms with a code sent by email and can pick from the labels you allow. A public board can collect public submissions through its primary form. Files and a receipt are supported. New tasks stay unpublished until an editor publishes them.
Free: 25 submissions per month. Team and Enterprise: no limit.
Email Intakes
Each intake has its own address, which you can rotate. Every email becomes one task, with its attachments. Tasks from email are never public.
Free: 1 Email Intake. Team: 10. Enterprise: no limit.
How Email Intakes work
Public boards
Share a roadmap without sharing your people.
Publish a board as a public, read-only page for customers and partners. Every plan can have public boards, with no limit on their number.
Read-only for everyone
Visitors see lists and published tasks. They cannot change anything.
Private by default
You publish a board on purpose. You can take it offline again at any time.
What a public board never shows
- Search engines are told not to index it (noindex), and it is in no sitemap.
- There is no list of the public boards of an organization.
- People appear through a handle that is different on each board, so nobody can follow them across boards.
- Names and avatars of assignees and comment authors are shown. Email addresses never are.
- Tasks and comments that came in by email never appear. Form requests appear only after an editor publishes them.
Every feature on every Kanroo Cloud plan.
