Structure
Spaces for teams. Pages for everything else.
A space holds the pages of one team or topic. Pages nest up to five levels, in the order you choose. The guide shows how to create spaces and pages.
Roles per space
Viewer, editor or manager, for the whole organization, a team or one person. The same model as on boards.
A clear page tree
Nest pages up to five levels and sort them by hand. Every page has a fixed number in its space.
Find pages fast
Press ShiftK to search across tasks, boards and pages.
Writing
Markdown, with the parts teams use.
Write in a visual editor that stores Markdown. You save on purpose, so a half-written thought never goes out by accident.
Tables, task lists, callouts
Plus headings to level 4, images and code. Callouts mark notes and warnings. See what you can put in a page.
Mermaid diagrams
Write the diagram as text or edit it visually. It renders on the page.
Save and discard
Your draft stays in the browser until you save. If someone saved in between, a dialog shows the conflict.
Images and attachments
Add images and files to a page, up to 5 MiB each on Free, 25 MiB on Team and 50 MiB on Enterprise. No storage quota. Fair use applies.
History and links
Every change has a version. Every task has its page.
Look back at earlier versions and restore one. Link pages and tasks both ways, so the plan and the work stay together.
Version history
Open and restore saved versions. Free keeps 5 per page, Team 25, Enterprise 50.
Task and page links
Link a page from a task and a task from a page. A “No access” badge shows where someone may not look.
Mentions
Mention a person on a page. They get an email, and a push notification if they turned push on.
Wiki pages per organization: Free 25, Team 250, Enterprise no limit.
Sharing
Share pages with people outside.
Send a read-only link to a client or a partner. You decide who gets a link and how long it works.
As many links as you need
One link per customer, if you like, as agencies do. Share one page, or a page with its subpages.
Password and expiry
Each link gets its own password of 4 to 64 characters and its own end date. Revoke one link without touching the others.
What a shared page does for your privacy
- Each share is its own link with a token. Revoking it ends access at once.
- Search engines are told not to index the page (noindex).
- Links on the page send no referrer, so other sites do not see where the visitor came from.
- The page is read-only. Visitors cannot comment or edit.
Import and export
Your pages stay plain Markdown.
Bring existing documentation in, and take every page out again, with its files.
Import Markdown
Upload .md files or one ZIP into a space or below a page. Up to 500 files and 25 MiB per import, unpacked and including images and attachments.
Export a ZIP
Export one page, a page with its subpages, or a whole space as Markdown files with their attachments.
Print or PDF
Print a page, or save it as a PDF from the print dialog of your browser.
