Search tasks, boards, and pages

One search covers the tasks, boards, and wiki pages of your current organization. It finds words in task titles and descriptions, board names, and page titles and text. You see only what you are allowed to open.

Steps

1. Press Shift+K anywhere in Kanroo, or choose Search at the top of the sidebar.
2. Type at least three characters into the search field (box 1). Results appear while you type. With fewer characters, the dialog shows your recent items.
3. Turn on Include archived (box 2) to find archived tasks, boards, and pages as well. They show an archive icon.
4. Tasks come first. The first result is already selected (box 3). Each task shows its key, its board and list, and its due date.
5. When the words match the description, a short snippet shows the matching text (box 4). The match is highlighted.
6. Pages follow in their own group (box 5), with their Space and parent pages.
7. Move with the arrow keys and press Enter to open the selected result. Press Esc to close the search.

Tips

• Search matches parts of words: “allergen” also finds “allergens”.
• Type a task key such as WR-14 to jump straight to that task.
• On a board, the Filter tasks button narrows the cards of that one board instead. See Switch views and filter a board.
