See who is online

On this page
Presence shows the avatars of the people who have the same place open as you. It helps you see that a colleague is looking at the same task before you both change it. Presence and live updates are part of Kanroo Cloud and the Enterprise Edition.
What presence shows
- The avatars in the header (box 1) show who is here. Up to five avatars show, then a number.
- Select them to open the full list (box 2).
Where you see it:
| Place | Who appears |
|---|---|
| Home and the board overview | everyone who has Kanroo open in this organization |
| A board | everyone on this board or one of its tasks |
| A task | everyone with this task open |
| A wiki page | everyone with this page open; a badge marks those with unsaved changes |
You see your own avatar too. Several tabs of one person count once. A person stays visible for a few seconds after closing the tab.
Presence is a hint, never a lock. Two people can still edit the same page; Kanroo then shows a conflict to the one who saves second.
Turn presence or live updates off
- Open Organization settings › Collaboration.
- Live updates (box 1) refresh boards, tasks, and pages by themselves when someone else changes them.
- Presence (box 2) shows the avatars. It needs live updates.
Only the organization owner can change these switches. Every member sees their state.
Good to know
- Presence shows only the display name and avatar, never what someone is typing.
- Without live updates, Kanroo still works. Pages show changes when you reload them or come back to the tab.
- After a short connection loss, Kanroo reconnects by itself and says so.
