On this page

Home is the first page you see after you sign in. It shows your own work in one organization: the tasks assigned to you, what changed on them, and the boards and pages you use most. Open it at any time with Home at the top of the sidebar or with Shift+H.

The top of the page

The Home screen of Dejan Vi. in Kanroo Labs
  1. Greeting and date (box 1). The date uses the time zone of your organization. If your browser is in another time zone, a small “Team time” note names the city.
  2. In Kanroo now (box 2). The people who have Kanroo open right now. Select the avatars to see the full list. This needs presence, see See who is online.
  3. Four numbers (box 3). Overdue and Due today count your open tasks. Stuck counts your open tasks without activity for more than 7 days. Changed for you counts tasks that others changed since your last visit.
  4. This week (box 4). One column per day, plus an Overdue column on the left. A column shows up to three tasks, then “+n”. Select a task to open it. Hover a day and choose Add task to create a task that is due on that day.
  5. Now (box 5). Up to five tasks that need you first: overdue tasks, then tasks due today, then tasks due later this week, then urgent tasks without a due date.
  6. Since your last visit (box 6). What others did on tasks you are assigned to or follow: comments, moves, new assignees. Kanroo groups the changes per task. It is not an inbox, so nothing needs to be marked as read.
  7. New task (box 7). Opens the task form with a board picker. “Assign to me” is already on.

Further down

Stuck, Boards, and Wiki on the Home screen
  1. Stuck (box 1). Your open tasks that nobody touched for more than 7 days, oldest first. This part is hidden when nothing is stuck.
  2. Boards (box 2). The six boards with the most recent activity. A board with a done list shows a small chart: how many tasks moved to the done list on each of the last 7 days. All boards opens the board overview.
  3. Wiki (box 3). Pages that link to one of your open tasks come first (“For …”). Then the pages saved most recently.

Good to know

  • Home shows only tasks that are assigned to you. Followed tasks appear only in “Since your last visit”.
  • A task in the done list of its board is never overdue.
  • Home reloads when you open it, when you come back to its browser tab, and after you create a task. The refresh button in the top bar reloads every part at any other time.
  • “Since your last visit” starts a new window when you come back after more than 5 minutes.
