On this page

Kanroo tells you about changes to your work by email, and in supported browsers by push notification. It never notifies you about your own actions.

When Kanroo notifies you

You get a notification when, on a task that you are assigned to or follow:

  • someone is assigned or unassigned,
  • the task moves to another list,
  • someone adds a comment.

You also get one when someone mentions you with @ in a task description, a comment, or a wiki page. You only get notifications for boards and pages you can still open.

To follow a task without being assigned, choose Follow in the task header, or press Shift+F.

Turn emails on or off

Notification settings of Dejan Vi.
  1. Open Personal settings from the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar, then the Notifications tab.
  2. Turn Task and Page notification emails (box 1) on or off. The switch applies to all your organizations.
  3. Every notification email also has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click turns the emails off, no sign-in needed.

Sign-in codes, invitations, and other account emails always arrive. They are not notifications.

Push notifications

On Kanroo Cloud and the Enterprise Edition, the same tab shows a Push switch when your browser supports it. Push is set per browser: turn it on in each browser where you want it. Your browser asks for permission first. Push and email are independent: you can use both, one, or none.

On iPhone and iPad, push works only after you add Kanroo to the Home Screen. Install Kanroo (box 2) explains how.

Reply by email

Notification emails can carry a personal reply address. Your reply then becomes a comment on the task. Revoke all reply addresses (box 3) disables the addresses sent so far. See Reply to task emails.
